Spring Refund Policy - $25 Processing Fee

Unfortunately, after registration parents or players choose not to participate in the Fall Season. In these circumstances Benicia Little League may provide a refund - with a minimal processing fee - based on a few conditions:

  1. Written Request for Refund: The registering parent must make a written request for refund to the Benicia Little League Registrar (see link below). The request will be reviewed to decide on the amount.
  2. No Teams Have Been Formed: In this situation a refund of the full amount less a $25 processing fee will be given.
  3. Teams Have Been Formed:  If teams have been formed, the refund will be pro-rated based on the time already passed since registration. The amount refunded will be reduced by a $25 processing fee.
  4. Draft Division:  For draft level divisions (Minors, Majors, Juniors, and Intermediate) there are no refunds available after the conclusion of the draft and the players have been assigned
  5. Practice Has Begun: Once practices have begun, no refunds are available.

If you have any further questions regarding this policy, please contact our registrar.

Volunteer Hours?

As a league we established a Volunteer Hours Claiming process that began in late June 2016, and continues through this registration.

All volunteers were emailed throughout Phase One of the process (which ended 7/31/2016), and once again periodically during Phase Two.

If you believe  you have unclaimed hours from 2016 and want to avoid the payment of volunteer fees, please contact our registrar.

What Division Level of Play do you request for your child?

To learn about each Division, view our Divisions of Play FAQ or our Division Levels of Play document:

Will your child need to attend evaluations?

Yes, for players League Age 9 and older. This help us place them in the correct division. Please review the League Calendar for dates and times of the evaluation sessions.

What is League Age?

The Little League year (as of November 2016) runs from January 1st through August 31st of each year. With the change to Little Leagues age policy for 2016, "League Age" is now calculated based on the age the player will be in the year of play through the summer season (as of 8/31).

As an example, a player who turns 9 years old on or before 8/31 will be considered that league age for the season.

Like the residency requirement, you must also be able to provide proof of your child's birth date. For more information, view the proof of age requirements.

Payment Policy

All fees must be paid in full or up-to-date for players to participate in league tryout sessions, or be assigned to teams. If fees are not paid in full, the player will be placed on a waiting list until fee issues are resolved.

Registration Process Details

To register, please read the following instructions.

Click on the link below to go to the 1st part of the registration process called on-line registration. Follow the directions carefully. For those of you who registered last year, you will find most of your information already completed. Others will need to fill in the blanks.

IT IS IMPERATIVE THAT YOU COMPLETE ON-LINE REGISTRATION BEFORE ATTENDING THE AGE and RESIDENCY VALIDATION PHASE.

If you do not have access to an internet-enabled computer, it is recommended that you use a computer at a site such as the Benicia Public Library. Failure to complete the on-line process before attending an Age and Residency Validation session will prevent your player from being eligible for the draft or being assigned to a team.

There will be NO computers available at the Age and Residency Validation sessions for public use.

If you arrive at an Age and Residency Validation session without having completed the on-line phase, we will NOT be able to perform the required Age and Residency validation.

After the on-line process is completed ,  come to any one of our Age and Residency Validation sessions which will be held at a location to be determined in Benicia. The dates and times of the "age and residency sessions" are below.

To make the Age and Residency Validation process as efficient as possible, registrants should come prepared with the following:

  • Receipt from Registration
  • Birth certificate of player

A document containing the registrant's home address such as a utility bill, phone bill, or bank statement

If a family member plans to manage, coach, or volunteer in some other capacity, please complete the VOLUNTEER AND MANAGER-COACH forms on the web site AND bring a copy of photo ID to the Age and Residency Validation session. These forms and ID will be used for the background check mandated by Little League International for all volunteers who will have regular contact with players.

If you have any questions concerning registration, please contact our registrar.
