As part of our on-going goals of continuous improvement, Benicia Little League hosts or sponsors clinic for Coaches, Field Prep Volunteers, Umpires, and Parents.
Please read more about the clinics we offer each season.
Each year our Coaching Coodinator will design and facilitate a series of clinics designed to teach new coaching skills, practice organization, our league curriculum, and other useful insights and tips for the coming season.
Typically these clinics are held on-the-field to provide the best possible real-world experience for both new and seasoned coaches.
All coaches should plan on attending these clinics as part of the ramp up to our season.
Our Field and Safety Officer coordinates and participates in our annual Field Prep Clinics.
These clinics are designed to teach the proper techniques for field preparation before the game and and after to ensure our beautiful fields are maintained to the highest level.
New and seasoned Field Prep Volunteers should plan on attending the annual clinic to receive up-to-date information on the new techniques and tools used each season.
Each year members of our Board conduct a Scorekeepers Clinic to instruct new Scorekeepers on the proper methods for keeping both game scoring and pitch counts.
Accurate game scores and pitch count records are critical to accuracy of league standings, All Star selection, and more importantly... the monitoring of pitches to support long term arm health for players.
