PLAYERS - ALL STAR COMMITMENT

MANAGERS / COACHES ALL STAR APPLICATION

FOR PLAYERS

Commitment to All Stars does not guarantee selection to a District All Star Team. The All Star Selection process with Player and Manager participation as well as BLL Board oversight will determine the 2019 teams.

ALL STAR COMMITMENT

For each of our tournament teams, we must gather commitments from those families who wish to have their player considered for these teams.

All Stars is a significant time commitment for each family with requirements for five or more practices per week before the tournament starts (often two per day), multiple games, and more practices once the teams enter into the tournament late June.

Families may also be required to pay a small fee to cover the costs of uniforms and other All Star team equipment needs.

LEAGUE AGE FOR ALL STARS

All Stars is designed for players who are league age 9-16. The players birth date range MUST be between 9/1/2002 and 8/31/2010. No Exceptions.

A commitment to the BLL All Star program is significant and involves both the player and his/her family.

PLAYERS

Players must be available for practices and games during the All Star Tournament season.

The date range to expect may start as early as June 3 with the District 53 Tournament to end no later than July 8, 2019.

Tournament game dates and locations are not known until just before the tournament stars, and games may be any day of the week, at any time during Saturdays, and in various locations. Families must also be able to transport players to practices and games which may be held anywhere within the District 53 boundaries (from Solano County to northern Napa County to East Fairfield).

PARENTS

Along with being able to ensure players are transported to Practices and Games - Parents must commit to the volunteer hours necessary for the management of league facilities and field maintenance during the tournament.

Volunteer positions vary from Team Parent, Canteen, Game Field Prep, Scorekeeper, Announcing, and Pre-Tournament preparation and clean up.

Note: This commitment will be for the entire duration of the All-Star Tournament regardless of if your team is eliminated. Any family that does not meet their volunteer commitment will be assessed a fee.
